Out of an abundance of love for a family member who struggled with substance abuse and emotional health I knew I had to be a lifeline for my family member. Since the age of 19 volunteering for Special Olympics embodied in me a spirit of caring for those who are not quite able to care for themselves. I started working with patients with emotional, and developmental issues thru MHMR of Fort Worth where I cultivated my skills. Over 30 years later I help those who need a little assistance as they learned to care for themself.
